Adrenal fatigue is a much-underestimated but exceedingly common health problem today. The adrenal glands work hard to manage stress and keep everything else functioning well in the body. However, when they bear the burden of constant battle to manage constant stress, they can become very weak and depleted themselves, and eventually cannot keep up, leaving us feeling sleepy, fatigued, and overwhelmed. Stimulating the adrenals improperly—trying to prop them up with poor sleeping schedule, caffeine, and medications—only adds to the problem in the long term.
